Carol Cornsilk has worked in broadcast and documentary production for almost three decades earning producer, director, writer or editor credits on award-winning productions such as Austin City Limits, The Native Americans, and Indian Country Diaries. Her production company, Adanvdo Vision, co-produced the two feature length Indian Country Diaries documentaries for PBS with Native American Public Telecommunications.  She has held positions as Director of Programming and Production at NAPT, Senior Producer/Director at Nashville Public Television and Producer/Director at KLRU/Austin. Her work has received an Emmy nomination, Cable ACE award, Gold and Silver Remis, a National Medal of Honor and has been screened at many festivals.
Carol Cornsilk is an enrolled member of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma. Cornsilk joins the Radio, Television and Film faculty at the University of North Texas in Fall, 2008.

Cornsilk taught Visual Literacy-Videography and Editing at the College of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln while a graduate assistant.  She will be teaching Introduction to Film Production, Film Style Production, Visual Editing and Documentary Pre-production.

Cornsilk holds a Master's degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Bachelor's degree in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Texas, Austin.
