Jan moved to Texas in 1996 and to Denton in 1998.  She enrolled at UNT in a graduate program then joined UNT as full-time staff in 1999 as Administrative Assistant with the Center for Media Production.  In August 2007 she transferred to University Relations Communications and Marketing.  Jan joins the Radio, TV & Film department as Administrative Services Officer I on May 27, 2008.

Jan earned a BA in History from OCLA in Chickasha, OK and a Medical Secretary certification from the American College of Business and Health Careers in Oklahoma City, OK.  She attended UNT 1996-1999 as a graduate student and was enrolled in the Speech & Hearing Sciences program.
