Vang

Originally a Georgia Native, Christian Vang took the long road to Texas. Starting in the radio business at age 15 as a board operator, he later became an engineering apprentice. His mom would always jokingly comment that she "didn't understand how his fascination with electricity would become a career move." However, after high school, he landed a job working for the Grand Ole' Opry in Nashville, Tennessee.

While going to school and working overnights in the engineering department, Vang eventually became the assistant Chief Engineer of WSM. (And moved to the day shift.) He also became the studio engineer for Vanderbilt Atheletics and the Nashville Predators hockey franchises. Fast forward a few years...Vang went to work for Tennessee Radio Network and Clear Channel Radio.

While with Clear Channel, Vang went on to complete technical building projects in Nashville, St. Louis, and Washington, D.C., as well as become a chief engineer. He was also the technical advisor to the NFL St. Louis Rams radio network. In addition to engineering work with Clear Channel, he has also participated as a beta tester and developer for several hardware and software vendors including TieLine and Audemat. He is an active member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers and holds certification with the group. Vang is currently pursuing a Master's degree from the University of Maryland, and holds a B.S. in Broadcasting from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.

When not playing radio, Vang can be found working on audio projects, building electronics, chasing a tornado, or grilling out on the patio.
